Proposition 100:
Should Quartzsite be allowed to
spend [and borrow] more money?

Quartzsite is already at
the limit of spending [and debt] set by the State of
Arizona. The council is requesting the state adjust
their limit by almost $8.5 million. [$8,465,210.00]
These numbers also directly effect the amount of
monies that may be borrowed -- possibly by bond,
and usually at a high rate of interest -- to be repaid
at a future date. Based upon Quartzsite's current
financial condition [facing bankruptcy] and the efforts
made to curtail questions while spending continues
without accountability, Quartzsite's
candidates for office are
condemning the move. DEBT

Mayoral candidate Ed Foster has filed formal allegations of
misconduct against Quartzsite's
council and more than a few have supported his position, among them
ex-councilman and Mayoral candidate Hal Davidson.

Further, two Quartzsite men [Dean Taylor and Michael Roth,
were forcibly removed from Tuesday's council meeting as they
attempted to challenge the sitting council on their actions.
Roth, along with
candidates Steve Bennett and Jim Lloyd had been prevented
from running for office over monies they are alleged to owe
the town.
In an effort to present
the entire picture without bias, we are publishing all the
documentation from both sides on these issues.
