 The Boy Scouts always play a significant part in Quartzsite's Parades - thanks to the diligence of Den Mothers!  Marilyn McFate, Quartzsite's Transit driver, is a familiar face to residents. The transit bus is a popular part of Quartzsite's senior services  Mr. Masales assists wherever he can, and is always a smiling participant!  Must be a new flower grown in Quartzsite: they were everywhere!  The first Bring-Yer-Dog Day of 2009! There were lots of canines at the Hi Jolly!  The official orange catcher for this group is ready for the chance!  Quartzsite: The Snowbird Destination, celebrated by Desert Gardens RV Park  Not one to miss an opportunity, this gal was ready for the catch!  He was ready for Walt's orange toss!  This WWII scene is reminiscent of Patton, in the news again in 2009!  He didn't take any chances with missing!  Gene Clark is President of the La Paz Car Club, rallying many auto enthusiasts to participate in the parade!  The theme for this year's parade is 'Getting to Know You!', presenting a great opportunity for the participants to make friends and have fun.  Tractors are always a favorite!  Central to Quartzsite's snowbird reputation is the great chance for ATVers and RVers to see the countryside - here, the ATVs were a colorful sight!  The flashiest biker in Quartzsite!  Picking flowers from the BLM?  Six hands: No dice  Scouts in Quartzsite rarely miss an event!  Changing Presidents at the Quartzsite Chamber of Commerce! |
