The Town of Quartzsite
always hosts a wonderful Fourth of July event with a
picnic in the town park,
fireworks and entertainment.
Don't miss the fun!
According the schedule, just before dusk
people begin arriving at the park for hot dogs and
burgers, watermelon and water fun. A great fireworks
display generally follows!
In the Soviet Union

be licensed to report the news by the government. Of
course, this ensures that nothing that doesn't pass the
governmental ideal gets reported, giving them
carte blanche control over all aspects of media.
However, that doesn't seem to be deterring those who

An early morning accident
[I-10] closed I-10 intermittently and resulted in the
death of at least one trucker.
One truck, slowly moving or
stopped, was struck from behind by a second commercial
carrier, igniting the cab of the second carrier and the
trailer portion of the first. The two occupants of the
first vehicle escaped injury...

Quartzsite Police Chief
Jeff Gilbert announced Tuesday that the Quartzsite
Police are still investigating the death of Laura
Vittori, the local woman found slain in a field behind
the Exxon station on Exit 19 in Quartzsite.
"The FBI," Gilbert stated, "is still involved in this
case and we are working on it. We do not believe there
is a danger to the public."
